Aisha stood before the doorway of what seems to be her new home for the remainder of the next 12 months... the Copper dorm building. Adorned in her favorite brown leather jacket, simple white cotton shirt and jeans, she opened the door leading to an entertainment room.
'Am I the first one here?' she asked herself as her eyes scanned the room, the entertainment room was filled with furniture for the occupant's luxury, but she can't help but think that there's nobody in this place--lacking presence, that's it.
"Hello, anybody here?" her voice echoed throughout the building as she dropped her luggages to the floor and took a seat at a near-by recliner, getting herself to think about what happened to her these past few months.
She traced back as much as she could remember, the first thing that came upon her mind... was the marriage of her mother to Mr. John Stevenson, a man she had met on her work, about 3 months ago. Aisha often speculated that it was her mother who cheated on her father, leading to her situation now, but she just couldn't blame her mother and simply hate her, she's too... lenient for that.
Closing her eyes and taking a deep sigh after thinking about her mother and the fact that her mom, Fatima, had agreed to let her come here and away from her.... it had just taken a toll on her, which quite disturbed her really.
As much as she would like to think about her past, weariness then came over her as she closed her eyes, ready to take a nap on the recliner. That's when she heard footsteps, then she immediately sat erect and looked from behind her to the entrance of the doorway.
