He felt like an outsider, like he didn't belong. Which was probably true. Holding Cooper's leash firmly, with his duffel bag and backpack slung over his shoulder, he hobbled up the stairs in his awkward gait. He had too much stuff right now, and he felt a migrained coming on. Not now...not now. He couldn't do it...Taking a deep breath, he exhaled very slowly, calming and relaxing himself. It usually always worked, and hopefully it would this time. Reaching the door, he put the key in the slot and turned the doorhandle. It looked like people had already moved in. But they weren't here..which was fine with him. Sighing softly, he took the empty bed in the room and put his bag upon it, then his backpack. He looked down at the beagle. This is it Coop...where you and I have to live for twelve months. He explained, and Cooper only wagged his tail at his owner. He sighed and then unzippered the duffel bag, uncliping Cooper's leash and throwing it off to the side. He had no pictures of decorations, but he had his own sheets for the bed. He pulled the comforter bag after getting his stuff off of it and made it up, then made sure it was neat and organized once more.
Going to the bureau that was to be his, he unpacked easily, making sure that it was nice and organized as well. He got Cooper's comfortable bed and put it beside his own, even thoough the dog would basically sleep on his. He poured the toys out and then finished unpacking, throwing the empty bag under his bed. He put his backpack off to the side, then took his ipod out of his pocket, leaning back on his bed and turning it on. Cooper jumped up beside him and laid down, closing his eyes and relaxing.

Jaden, unlike this unfortunate newcomer, was not burdened with his luggage. He walked through the halls carefree, thinking about the newest song he had learned on his guitar. In his mind he tried remembering the notes, but it didn't work. He knew, however, that it would all come back to him when he held his guitar. He wasn't exactly the best, but he had received compliments before about his playing. It was these compliments that kept him going, rather than giving up and selling his guitar for tickets to the newest Taking Back Sunday concert. Jaden snapped out of his trance as he came to an open door and peered inside. A boy was laying on one of the beds, listening to his ipod, with a dog laying next to him. He knocked on the door frame, hoping to catch the other boy's attention, or maybe the dog's. He finally spoke, realizing he probably couldn't be heard. "Umm, hey there. What room is this?" He felt dumb for asking, but at the same time knew it was necessary. If he didn't, he'd probably end up in some sort of irreversible situation in a room he'd never been in.

Aidan was spacing out at the moment, and the only thing that brought him from his basic daydreams was Cooper's vibrating bark. And a beagle could be heard even with his headphones in. Cooper instantly stood upon the bed, his tail wagging back and forth, his whole body wiggling. He jumped down and trotted over to the newcomer, smelling the ground at his feet to see if he was good or not. Deciding he was okay, he jumped up, resting his front paws on the boy's legs, looking up at him with big brown eyes, wanting obvious attention. Aidan looked up and saw the guy. He paused the song and took out his headphones, putting it on the table beside his bed. He stood up awkwardly and then heard the question. He thought he knew the right answer...so he would just pick. Uh...it's 215..in the Copper Dorms.. He offered and then wondered who the guy was. Seeing Cooper, he gave a small whistle. Cooper lingered for a moment longer, but then bounded back over to Aidan, sitting on the floor by his leg. Sorry about him..

Instictively, Jaden stepped back as the dog began barking loudly, then bounded over to him. He felt the impulsion to laugh as the energetic dog placed his paws on his legs, but settled for a smile. He knew that some dogs were sensitive to loud, intruding noises. Jaden gently scratched the dog behind the ears, gaze intent on the stranger. "215?" He thought for a moment. "Great..." he muttered to himself. He had forgotten his room number. The slight pressure of the dog's paws vanished as the dog returned to his master. "Oh, it's okay. I have a Rottweiler. Just as energetic, about ten times as big," he mused. "By the way, I'm Jaden." hesitantly the boy wondered whether to step into the foreign room, or to allow the other boy to close the distance.
