After chating to Aisha, Dylan and Megan for a bit Clarks excused himself and went back to his dorm and took a shower. When he was absolutly sure that he was clean he got dressed in a pair of blue jeans, snekaers and a black T-Shirt with "Blink 182" written on it in big bold red, yellow and green letters. He then grabbed his guitar and made his way back to the grounds.
The wind was blowing slightly, which made his messy hair even messier than it was when he stepped outside onto the grounds. He sat down on a bench as soon as he reached it and put his guitar on his lap, pulling a few strings to check if it's still tuned in before playing a slow paced melody on it.
His fingers moved from one thread to the other effortlessly, he was playing the melody of a song by Avril Lavigne called Knocking on heavens door, one of his favourite songs.

A ebony comb in hand, an angry, straw-haired female raked the object across her scalp furiously. Moments ago, the fae had been planting a pine sprout in the front of the school. Yes, she was a bit of a hippie, Dawn already knew, but as she traveled around the country, people and plants alike had changed. The only thing Dawn knew were safe were trees. Therefore when the girl arrived at a new school, after unpacking, her tradition was to plant a tree.
However something had gone wrong while she was digging. Dawn had been trying to cut through some tough grass roots when they all of a sudden snapped and the wet soil was thrown onto her face and even made its way all over the top of her skull. This is what Dawn was trying to comb out. The wind wasn't helping either though.
Luckily, the young lady carried a small brush around with her in the event that such a disaster might occur. While picking the dirt out of her dark blonde hair, the fatale heard music. Puzzled, she put the small black comb away, deciding her hair would have to be good enough, and followed it.
The noise led her to a bench not too far off the grounds. A young, dark haired teen was sitting, back to her, with some kind of guitar in his hands. Curious, Dawn tip-toed closer.
She swore she had heard the song somewhere. . . though for the life of her, she couldn't place it. Dawn stood, hands folded and head c.ocked, and listened some more.

Clark finished the song after a few minutes then put his guitar down on the grass before rubbing his fingers, It's been a long time since he last played on his guitar. He then looked around wondering where everyone was it seemed like the school was deserted or something. He then heard a faint sound behind him and turned around, there stood a girl who looked like she's been doing some gardening gone wrong. "Hey." he said to her with a smile, glad that someone showed up.

A small amount of air sharply entered Dawn's lungs. The girl had gasped when the guitarist turned around. Then she began to laugh. Half because she couldn't believe that she had been the one surprised, when she had been the one sneaking up behind him, and half to cover her her embarrassment about it.
"I'm sorry," Dawn managed through her giggles. "You startled me!"
The blonde's face felt hot, and she knew she was blushing terribly. She hated her pale, thin skin. Not only did the female break out in a rash every time she even touched something as simple as grass, but it was also impossible for her to tan. And these were both apart from the fact that her entire face lit up like a torch any time she was the slightest bit uncomfortable.
Finally ceasing, Dawn didn't let the silence go on for long.
"What was that you were just playing?"
"It was really good; I'm not saying I couldn't recognize it, because I did, but my mind is a complete blank as to the title."
As the dark blonde spoke, she shrugged her shoulders and had her palms up and open to the sky, as if the gesture helped excuse her.

"It's Knocking on heaven's door, by Avril Lavigne." Clark replied smiling at the girls scarlet face, "Come sit with me." he added as he shifted so that there's more space on the bench. "What are you doing out here?" he asked her trying to make confersation.

The empty space on the bench was the first time Dawn was actually glad to see something blank. All the other times, space had been bad. Emptiness in her social calender was depressing. Coming home to an empty house was frustrating. Emptiness in her stomach annoying and empty pockets simply a drag. But this was an opportunity, and so Dawn was not fearful of the devoid of space.
She sat down and pulled her legs up under her. One pale hand rested on top of her knees. Her right hand, the one closer to the dark-haired guy, balanced her weight so she wouldn't fall.
The blonde was excited that he hadn't ignored or told her to get lost. She took strength from this, and starting talking back.
"I was actually gardening, if you'd believe that. Though, I'm sorry to say, it didn't quite work out." The girl frowned and looked the opposite direction of the male. She didn't plan on making any sort of eye-contact with him at all, really. But at the moment she wasn't even looking ahead. Dawn was sure the bloke could still hear her words. It wasn't like she was competing over the sound of his guitar. Recalling his skill, Dawn asked,
"How long have you been playing that thing?" while nodding toward the musical object, currently resting on the grass.

Clark looked down at his guitar, then back up at Dawn. "About four years now... I think." he replied as he pulled his hand through his hair, "You don't need any help with that gardening you were doing do you?" he asked her. "Because I'll help you out if you want to." he added with a smile.

Four years. . . Dawn was impressed. That was a long time to do much of anything. The fae wondered what it would be like, to be so dedicated to something that they could stick with it that long. The only thing the blonde had ever continued to care for after a couple months was her dog, Travis. She guarded the black lab eight years before he died. After that, nothing sparked her interest. Of course, she didn't say anything about it; her dog or how she was impressed. Normal people didn't voice items like that. Besides, he had asked her something and it would be terribly rude for the dame to ignore him.
"Actually, that'd be great, if you wouldn't mind," Dawn replied after thinking a moment. She wasn't going to lie; she did need help. After all, look at what had happened to the femme the first time. The dark blonde fought the urge to pull her digits through her scalp just one last time. Of course, doing so might draw attention to whatever dirt she hadn't bee able to get out. The girl didn't want this newly-met teen to think her some kind of gross, dirty scrub.
"It's right over here, follow me now," spoke the blonde while standing up. After walking a short distance trusting the male was behind her, they reached the barely-started hole with a small shovel and a young evergreen sprout lying pathetically beside it.
"This is it. You think I'd be able to dig a single hole, but oh no, not me," Dawn chuckled while bending over and picking up the spade. Still not turning to face or even check if he was still behind her, the female crossed her slender, sleeve-covered arms. With her right hand she gripped the pale fabric of her long-sleeve t-shirt at the waist. The girl's left hand held the shover by the blade over her shoulder, with her elbow resting on her clenched fist at her side.
"What d'you say? Strong enough for the job?" Dawn teased.

Clark followed down towards the barely there hole with his guitar in hand, he put it down on the grass and looked down at the hall with a smile, "I worked in people's gardens for years, I'm sure I'll manage." he said with a laugh as he took the shovel from Dawn and walked to the otherside of the hole where the sprout layed.
Clark lifted the shovel slightly and hit it against where the hole was and lifted a shovel full of dirt out of it, throwing it next to the hole on the small dirt pile there already was.

Dawn laughed at the thought of the guitarist dressed in her grandmum's outrageous gardening outfit. A straw bonnet to hide his short, dark locks. Of course, it would have a pink or pale green tied around the circumference, ended with a showy bow. The cream colored apron adorned with small, red roses and countless dirt stains. Pants hiked up past his waist and showing off his ankles. It was too much for the female to keep inside.
"You into exterior design, or something? Or just a summer side job?" She asked him while crouching down to talk to him as close to face to face as she could manage. Of course, down didn't look at him. She focused her emerald optics on the sprout, which she began fiddling with. Now that there was someone else, Dawn began to think this over for the first time.
She hadn't asked anyone if she could do this; just sort of decided to plant a tree in the front of the school. The female began wondering what would happen, if someone just happened to be walking by and saw them? It probably wouldn't happen, as all the staff or anyone who cared would be busy getting ready for classes to start. Still, Dawn would feel bad if she got someone else in trouble. Not that she didn't care for herself, but, Dawn couldn't finish the thought. She just didn't know.
"Uh, I'm not actually sure we're supposed to be doing this. . . " the fae confessed slowly. "Do you mind?"
